Pharmacy

The Pharmacy Department provides medications for all inpatients and outpatients of the hospital.

This includes medication on discharge, with counselling and drug information for those patients.

Drug information is provided to medical and nursing staff, with a special involvement in Palliative Care and Chemotherapy patients.

All chemotherapy is co-ordinated and supplied through the Pharmacy.

The Pharmacist is involved in education in the Supervised Practice Nurse Program, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program and on various committees of the Hospital.

The Pharmacy Department also provides a regular Pharmaceutical supply service to Balranald, Sea Lake, Birchip and Manangatang Hospitals and as requested to other health facilities.
