Pathology Department

The Department provides for comprehensive on site testing in Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology and Blood Banking.  Histology and Cytology samples are referred to the visiting Pathologist and Goulburn Valley Hospital.  Further specialised testing is referred to other laboratories as appropriate.

The Laboratory hours for outpatient referrals are 8.30am-5.00pm Monday to Friday.  An on-call service is provided outside the above hours for urgent assays.

Services are provided for inpatients at Swan Hill District Health, referred outpatients and regional centres such as Balranald, Sea Lake and Nyah.
