Promoting health
Assistance is provided to local primary & secondary schools on a range of topics:
* Healthy eating
* Sexual health education
* Body Image and self esteem
* Sunsmart
* Dental Health
* Focus on health outcomes in sporting and recreational settings
* New program, titled "Go Kids" commenced recently focusing improving nutrition, including breastfeeding, and physical activity participation for 0-5 year old children.  A component of the local Communities for Children project.

The Walking School Bus Program, in partnership with VicHealth and Swan Hill Rural City Council, is currently being implemented in 7 primary schools in the local government area.  Contact the Health Promotion Department for more information on 03 5033 9337.

Youth Services: a range of programs promoting social connection, physical activity, mental and sexual health and well being are now available for local young people from our Health Promotion Department. For more information call 03 5033 9337 or view further information under 'news' on this site.
