Go Kids
The Dietetics, Physiotherapy & Health Promotion Departments of the hospital have joined forces to develop a project that aims to improve health outcomes for children aged 0-5 years in the Swan Hill area. This project is part of the local Communities for Children strategy supported by the Australian Government as part of the Stronger Families and Communities Strategy.
The focus of the project is on physical activity and nutrition and including breastfeeding. Families with young children are encouraged to have a say in how the project can achieve its aims and parents are invited to do this by either participating in surveys, attending focus group gatherings or just giving the team a call on 5033 9337.
The 'Go Kids' project team are working with schools, pre-schools, childcare, local agencies and businesses over the next three years to provide as many activities as possible that improve the health outcomes of young children. We encourage you to contact us if you would like more information.
