Pre-admission Clinic

The pre-admission Clinic is an important part of your pre-surgery physical preparation and there is no charge associated with attending the pre-admission clinic.

Swan Hill District Health pre-admission clinic is  attended by patients prior  to  having an elective (planned)  procedure performed at  the hospital.

The pre-admission clinic nurse will ask you about your medical and surgical history, so if you are the person  responsible for a patient please ensure you know these details. Please have a list of all current  medications.

You will be given information about your operation and what is expected will happen to you when you are in hospital. Please feel free to ask  questions at this time. If you have been asked to see the anaesthetist please ensure you do so.

The date and time of your pre-admission clinic appointment will be made by the theatre bookings receptionist at the same time as the date of your operation is made.
