Occupational Therapy


Occupational therapists assess people's physical, cognitive and psycholsocial skills and/or dysfunction, and their ability to perform activities of daily living (occupations) that they need and want to do.  

This includes self-care, domestic, work, interpersonal and leisure tasks.  Treatment and interventions are designed to assist people to achieve optimal participation in activities, and may be directed towards minimising the effects of impairments, promoting independence and health, and discharge planning form care facilities.
