Midwifery Unit
The Midwifery Unit contains two birth rooms and an eight-bed ward, with 3 double rooms and 2 single rooms. All rooms have ensuite facilities with televisions provided.
Visiting hours are between 8 am and 8 pm, other than during the rest period for mothers and infants between 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm.
Professional Midwives provide education and care for women and families in all aspects of birthing and parenting.
Care available includes: * Antenatal Classes * Antenatal * During and after childbirth * Neonatal * Domicilary Service * Outpatient CTG Service
Though community consultation the Midwifery Unit aims to maintain flexibility of service delivery to meet the needs of women and their families.
The midwifery unit offers a range of maternity services with around 260 births per annum.
